Animation - Exploding chandelier

Nearly finished my animation! YES! Ok, so today I added an explosion effect to a chandelier, using a pArray. All that's left to do is:

1. Add the bell to the scene
2. Add lighting
3. Render

Animation - Candles

After searching, and not succeeding, for tutorials on how to create a candelabras, I created one from the chandeleir made the other day:

Animation - Table

Last night, whilst my boyfriend was on xbox and I had nothing to do, I decided to create a table to go inside the church. This consisted of adding a texture to boxes. I also swift-looped the cross out the box.

Animation - Chandelier

I decided to alter the size of the candle holders on the chandelier. I also inserted candles and changed the colour of the chandelier using the material editor.

Animation - Chain & Chandelier

Today I created a chain to go with the bell. To do this I followed a tutorial on http://www.secondpicture.com. Obviously I will make it longer when I merge it into my animation. The chain will be used to swing the bell across the cart.

I also created a chandelier by following a tutorial found on YouTube. At first I thought it would be a fairly difficult object to create, but all it consisted of was using the Extrude, Bevel and Chamfer properties on a cylinder!

Of course I will change the colour to suit a chandelier. I am also debating whether or not to alter the size of the light holders, i.e. make them smaller. To do this, I will have to do is scale them down.

Animation - Bell

I also created a bell which will later be animated to swing down, just missing the cart. To create the bell, I followed a tutorial on http://tutorialtown.com/

Animation - Fog effect

Today I experimented with the fog effect to add to the graveyard. At first I was unsure which parameters to alter because there were so many, and I struggled to get the desired effect. In the end I found myself changing the Density and Max Steps and produced the effect as shown below:

You can't tell much difference, but I'll carry on experimenting with the parameters to see if I can produce a more noticeable effect.

Animation - Final week

So this is the final week of animation and I can confidently say I have enjoyed this project, but not enough to continue on to second year! Although it's the final week, we still have the holidays to complete it (luckily).

Having almost completed the graveyard, this week I have been focusing on creating the inside of the church. So far I have added textures to the walls and floor, created the pews (benches found in church), and added a ledge on the back of them containing bibles.

Additionally I produced a skeleton hand, which eventually be animated to come out from under a pew. Creating this was probably the most challenging aspect of this week.

Things to do:

1. At the moment, the ride goes through the walls and window. Need to find out how to animate the door and window

2. Need to find out how to make a chandelier for another scare scene

3. Need to find out how to create a bell

Animation - Storyboard

Today I created a storyboard for my haunted ride. Having already thought of a theme and scare scenes to include, this task proved to be simple. Before the ride begins, I have decided to include an opening image asking "Would you dare to ride the [name of ride]?"
